Each year The Nathan Yip Foundation holds a number of fundraising events to raise money to continue its work. The events bring together friends and supporters from around the world with a mission to help children through education. Since the Nathan Yip Foundation is run almost entirely by volunteers, the monies raised at these events go directly to projects supported by the organization.
The largest fundraising event each year for the Nathan Yip Foundation is the annual Chinese New Year Celebration Gala, held typically in late January or early February.
The event attracts hundreds of supporters who enjoy Denver's most authentic Chinese New Year Celebration. The gala is also a time to reflect on the work of the Nathan Yip Foundation and celebrate the many projects that are underway that support vulnerable youth in Colorado and around the world. The 2016 Chinese New Year event will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Tickets are available now!

Non-Stop Dim Sum. Join Linda and Jimmy Yip at Denver’s most authentic and delicious Chinese Mid-Autumn Moon Festival each September to benefit the Nathan Yip Foundation. Coined the “Thanksgiving of the East,” the festival brings together family and friends for food, entertainment and celebration. The event is held during the Harvest Moon Festival at Kings Land Chinese Seafood Restaurant.
Come honor Nathan’s birthday! Every summer, in the first or second week of June, Linda and Jimmy Yip invite supporters and friends to their home for an evening of sushi and good times to support the Foundation. The sushi is prepared on-site by restaurant chef, Miki Hashimoto, owner of TOKIO in Downtown Denver.
Each year, Jimmy and Linda Yip host a trip for supporters to unique destinations. In some cases, the trip will take supporters to visit one of the Foundation’s overseas projects. The trips serve as a fundraising event for the Foundation and also bring friends and supporters together for unique travel experiences. Please call (303) 817-8400 for more information.
Each year the Friends of Nathan Yip host a night of music to raise money for the Nathan Yip Foundation. Friends of Nathan Yip is comprised of young Denver philanthropists, many of whom were Nathan’s friends from Kent Denver.
Nate’s Night 2016 will be Thursday, March 3rd at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox. For tickets and information visit www.natesnight.org.
Every other year, the Nathan Yip Foundation celebrates our roots with the Shanghai Gala. Hosted by Nathan’s godparents, Kevin and Stephanie Tung, the Shanghai Gala not only allows us to connect with our supporters in China, it also draws many of our U.S. supporters. The funds raised at the Shanghai Gala are used to provide ongoing support Nathan Yip Foundation projects in China, which include two schools and an orphanage/school in Guangdong Province, four schools in Guizhou Province, one school in both Jiangxi and Hunan Province, and an orphanage/school in Fujian Province. Join us for this tremendous party and know that your good time is providing better times for children in need.
