Don Bosco Vocational School

Guangdong, Province, China

The Nathan Yip Foundation provided full-year $600 scholarships for 15 children at the Don Bosco Vocational School from 2004-2009. They also furnished all books for the school library.

The Don Bosco Vocational School was created in 1993 by the Hong Kong Charitable Foundation and catered to older students who were extremely poor. The Don Bosco School worked in cooperation with the Shitan Salesian Children's Center. Typically, the students leave the Shitan Center, and move directly to the Don Bosco School for vocational training so that they become independent, self-reliant contributors to the community.

Sadly, the school recently closed and the Foundation can no longer offer support.
